Children's Databases
Writing a report and need a magazine article or information from a newspaper? Believe it or not, you can do it all from home for free!
You can search all of the databases below and have access to magazine articles, reference books and newspapers. All you need is your library card!
Just click on the database you are interested in and a screen will pop up prompting you to type in your library card number. Enter it and click on “Go.” Scroll down to magazines for K-12 students and click on the database you are interested in using (please note that you have access to newspaper articles as well. You just need to click on Newspapers to see what is available).

Student Edition
Formerly SuperTOM, this database is designed for high school students, with access to a variety of indexed and full-text magazines, newspapers and reference books for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
Junior Edition - K12
Formerly SuperTOM Junior, this periodical database is designed for students in junior high and middle school, with magazines, newspapers and reference books (most are full-text) for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
Kids Edition - K12
Formerly PrimaryTOM, this periodical database is designed for elementary school students, with easy access to full-text magazines, newspapers and reference books for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
Kids InfoBits
Kids InfoBits meets the research needs of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. It features a developmentally appropriate, visually graphic interface, a subject-based topic tree search and full-text, age-appropriate, curriculum-related magazine, newspaper and reference content for information on current events, the arts, science, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
