English as a Second Language (ESL)

Instructional materials are located in the Tavares Room. Patrons are encouraged to use these materials either in the library or at home.

Genealogy Collection

The genealogical materials at the library consist of three genealogy databases (Ancestry Library Edition, Heritage Quest, New England Ancestors), the Hudson Sun Newspaper on microfilm (1865-present), various local history books including Town Reports from 1867 to present, and vital statistics on microfiche.

The information is available anytime the library is open. Reference Librarians are available to assist in using the resources. Please see the Genealogy Section for more detailed information.

Parenting Collection (ECC Section)

Located in the Children's Area, topics include reading aloud, children's literature, child rearing, potty training, homework tips, educational options and concerns and health issues.

Portuguese Collection

These materials are provided by a grant through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissions. These materials are housed in the McLellan Room and include books (fiction and nonfiction), and videos. Hispanic newspapers are also available provided by the Hudson Public Library.
