School Summer Reading Lists
Summer Reading at the Library
For a list of all the events going on at the library during Summer Reading, please go to the calendar: Hudson Public Library Calender of Events. There are many mystery-themed programs planned for this summer.
Listeners: “I Spy with my little eye…”
Come spin the wheel and see what your little eye will spy! Spin once per day to collect a sticker and choose from the candy bucket. Get a prize and stamp our Picture Mural for every 10 books “read” or “read to”; up to 100 books.
Readers: “It’s a Mystery…”
Every Wednesday night after the library is closed, the attic light comes on. If you’re working the late shift, you might even hear weird noises coming from the attic. But, if you even try to open the door the noises stop! Sometimes the light stays on, and sometimes it goes dark, but you never see anything amiss.
We need your help to figure out who is in the attic and what are they doing up there? Play the Hudson Public Library’s Summer Reading Game and help us figure it out.
From June 13th until August 20th come and answer questions from the jeopardy board. For every Challenge question you do, you will receive a clue to help solve this mystery. There are 8 Challenges in all.
If you can correctly answer BOTH questions: “Who is in the Attic?”, and “What are they doing up there?” you will earn an extra raffle ticket.
On August 22nd the questions “Who is in the Attic?” and “What are they doing up there?” will be revealed.
There’s more…Receive a raffle ticket for every 3 hours of reading you do. Get an extra raffle ticket for 12, 24, and 36 hours read. All raffle tickets must be submitted by August 20th.
The end of Summer Reading Party is on August 24th at the Elks in Hudson.
