Children’s Summer Reading

Summer reading is almost here for 2013

We are working diligently behind the scenes to make your summer reading program as much fun as possible. As we wait for the warm weather to arrive and stick around, we leave you with these questions to ponder:

  • Do you march to the beat of a different drummer?
  • Are you ready to toot your own horn?
  • Are you ready for a monstrously fun summer?
  • What type of monster really loves dance music?
  • Is there a monster at the end of this… summer?
Come in to sign-up and begin playing this summer’s musically monstrous game starting on Monday, June 10th at the Hudson Public Library!

The End of Summer Reading Carnival at the Hudson Elks in August was a huge success. Over 500 people attended and enjoyed the Pirates of the Caribbean bounce, face painting, ice cream truck, trunk toss, balloon animals, art table, Pitchburst, Heywood music group and Jr. Clown Striker.

To all the fabulous volunteers

You worked so hard to help make the Hudson Public Library’s Summer Reading programs so successful: THANK YOU from the bottom of our Children’s’ and Young Adults’ hearts! Prepping folders, decorating, doling out prizes: you were an invaluable part of our success and we want everyone to know it!

Hint about Summer Reading 2013:

Splish, Splash the pirate ships have sailed, but next year they’ll be availed by a violet cyclops that soars. You’ve sunk us all but Pete Pontoon, have no fear next year we will play a new tune.
