Did you figure out who killed Marcus?

Answer: While building the addition to the Eddington Memorial Library, Marcus Walker discovered Jerry Banks had failed to add the specified plasticizer, which resulted in cheaper, weaker cement. To prevent Walker from exposing his scam, Banks shot him at the construction site, dumped him into the trench and covered his body with dirt. Banks’ DNA was found at the scene and a ballistics match proved the bullet that killed Walker came from Banks’ gun. Jerry Banks was tried, found guilty, and is currently serving life in prison at the You-Shoulda-Known-Better Maximum Security Prison on No Way Off Island somewhere off the coast of Alaska.

Summer Reading at the Library

The cracks in the foundation wall of the Eddington Memorial Library lead to the body of Marcus Walker. He died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Was it an accident….or murder?

Your job is to find out who killed Marcus Walker and why. Join us this summer to reveal the clues and ensure that justice is laid down.

From June 13th until August 13th there will be clues and suspects unveiled.

A picture of the crime scene, statements to the police by the suspects and evidence from the forensics lab will be available to you once you answer the question of the day about the suspects/crime scene etc.

If at any time you believe you have solved the mystery you then need to fill out your “Solution Sheet” and hand it in to the librarian. Please carefully examine all the evidence. We MUST solve this case and we cannot do it without your help!!

• Each day there will be a new question.
• Use the information given to answer the question and receive candy.
• A copy of the Solution Sheet that you will need to fill out at the end of the summer is hanging up. Keep those 4 questions in mind while playing the game.
• The more you come and play the more information you will gather about the crime.
• For every book you read, you receive 2 raffle tickets to put towards the prize you wish to win. All raffle tickets must be submitted by August 20th.
• Prizes such as gift cards to Zumiez, GameStop, Old Navy and many more along with an iPod nano will be raffled at the end of Summer Reading Party on August 24th at the Elks in Hudson.
• Those who have filled in the Solution Sheet with the correct answers and passed it in no later than August 18th will receive 1 raffle tickets for every correct answer, for a possible total of 4 raffle tickets.

On August 19th we will find out WHO killed Marcus Walker, HOW he was killed and WHY.
